The challenge

How to make compliance training more engaging?
At a company like BP, ethics and compliance training is required. That training being remembered is its own challenge. BP needed a way to deliver serious material that didn't land as one more mandatory PowerPoint, and that took the subject seriously without making it feel like homework.

The insight

Games make learning fun and effective.
People remember what they do more than what they sit through. Game mechanics can turn an hour of staring at a screen into something people actually take part in. But a playful format needs more than jokes to work. The game had to be effective first, and fun because of it.

The solution

A card game for compliance
A Cards Against Humanity-inspired card game built on situations and pattern matching. Players work through ethics and compliance scenarios in a format that's social and familiar. We produced a physical prototype and shipped it to BP. Mandatory doesn't have to mean forgettable. If your internal communications need a creative way in, we can help.
